FORAS to hold AGM this Friday

Friends of the Rebel Army Society Ltd (FORAS) will hold its 2016 AGM this coming Friday, February 26th at the Metropole Hotel in Cork city. (KO 7pm) Only members of the supporters trust may attend, but new members are welcome to join on the night with payments (cash, cheque or credit card) also being taken from renewing members. Trustees will hear from senior team manager John Caulfield before the AGM itself gets underway, with the Agenda including updates from the Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer as well as the election of members to the incoming board. FORAS trustees invited to General Meeting

FORAS trustees have been invited to attend a General Meeting of the supporters trust this coming Wednesday, September 30th at the Metropole Hotel. First team manager John Caulfield will kick off the action at 7pm sharp with a Q&A session. (Registration is open from 6.15pm) It will be followed by a Chairman’s Report, and updates on the 2015 budget, our involvement in the SD Europe network, a revamp of the Trust membership, an Infrastructure Update, our involvement in the Community over the past few months and plans for a dedicated Fundraising calendar in 2016. SD Europe network meets in Hamburg

Cork City FC and FORAS were represented at the inaugural meeting of the Supporters Direct Europe network in Hamburg on September 5th and 6th. Board members Mike Derham and Niamh O’Mahony travelled to the event in Germany along with 19 clubs, national organisations and groups from 16 different countries. The event was hosted at the home of HFC Falke e.V., whose president, Tamara Dwenger, welcomed everybody to the city. Cork City to attend SD Europe network meeting

Representatives of Cork City FC will attend the inaugural Supporters Direct Europe network meeting on September 5th and 6th in Hamburg, Germany. Board members Mike Derham and Niamh O’Mahony will be amongst fan-owned clubs, national organisations and supporters’ groups from 16 countries involved in the two-day conference, which will be hosted by HFC Falke e.V. FORAS and Cork City FC worked with Supporters Direct Europe and other partners around Europe for the ‘Improving Football Governance through Supporter Involvement and Community Ownership‘ project (2011 – 2013).
