Everyone at Cork City FC is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of longtime supporter and volunteer, Finbarr O’Shea. Finbarr, known for his famous green Cork City flat cap, was a popular figure among football fans in Cork and beyond, and he will be sorely missed by all. Our thoughts are with Finbarr’s family and friends. May he rest in peace.

Last Thursday, the 17th of December, the Board of Management of Cork City Football Club announced that Grovemoor Ltd., and its owner Mr. Trevor Hemmings, had informed us that due to being unable to agree terms on a lease agreement with the Munster Football Association (MFA), that Grovemoor Ltd would not be proceeding with their option to purchase Cork City Football Club at this time. Grovemoor Ltd has informed the Board of Management that due to being unable to agree terms on a lease agreement with the Munster Football Association (MFA), Grovemoor Ltd will not be proceeding with their option to purchase Cork City Football Club at this time.
