Rebel Rhymes Volume 2 – Available from 9th December!

Tony Tobin, Cork City’s resident poet, is back with Volume 2 of his book of Rebel Rhymes!

In collaboration with FORAS, the book will launch on 9-December and be available directly from Tony, FORAS General Meetings and the Cork City FC Club Shop. It will also be available for purchase on Amazon worldwide and downloadable to Kindle e-reader devices, phones and tablets.#

The official launch will take place on Saturday, December 9th at 11am in the CCFC Club Shop in Douglas. Tony himself will be there to meet supporters and discuss the book.

All proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to Marymount Hospice.

Rebel Rhymes Volume 1 was released back in 2019 and raised thousands for Marymount Hospice and Cork City FC’s academy teams.

Speaking today, author Tony Tobin said: “Cork City FC has given me so much in life – entertainment, many ups, many downs, but above all many friends through the CCFC family. In this latest book, I again pay tribute to The Rebel Army, my friends and family, and tell stories of my hobbies and yesteryear! There’s something in the book for the entire family and would make a nice Christmas gift!”

“I’m also very happy to once again support Marymount Hospice. This is a thank-you to the wonderful staff for the trojan work they do in hospitals and private homes throughout Cork and beyond. There isn’t a home in Cork that hasn’t been touched by the kindness & dignifying work of the staff of Marymount. We hope that by this small effort it shows how grateful we are,” he added

FORAS Chairman Declan Carey said: “We’re very excited and honoured to help Tony with the launch of his second book. It was a huge team effort to get this published. Board members Joe Leogue, Mairtín De Barra and Shane O’Connor helped with the editing, CCFC’s Aaron Howey designed the cover and we’re delighted with how it has turned out. Tony is a long-standing FORAS trustee and his generosity to Marymount Hospice is commendable and he is a role model to all of us.”
